With this form you can request registration, removal or correction of details concerning citizenship. You can also request registration or correction of your country and place of birth.

If you are applying for Finnish citizenship, contact the Finnish Immigration Service.

If you are a citizen of Finland and of another country, and you want to retain your Finnish citizenship when you turn 22 years old, see the instructions for retaining Finnish citizenship.

Required documents

Decision on naturalization or on losing a citizenship or
Valid passport or identity card of a EU citizen * or
Citizenship certificate issued by an embassy (accepted without legalization)
Any other official document that shows the information you want to register. For example, birth certificate or population register extract.

* If you are a Finnish citizen, also submit your decision on receiving another citizenship.
