you would like to have a municipality of residence and you have a temporary residence permit (B permit) you do not have any residence permit or o the Finnish Immigration Service (Migri) has not granted you any EU registration (registration of an EU citizen’s right of residence or a residence card of an EU citizen’s family member).

If you already have a Finnish personal identity code, a continuous residence permit (A permit) or a permanent residence permit (P permit) or EU registration and you would like to have a municipality of residence and a permanent address:
Fill out the form carefully. All fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory. Complete the form in Finnish, Swedish or English. Use only Latin alphabet.
Attach pictures of your passport (or EU citizen's ID card), study certificate or attendance letter and your residence permit, if you have one, to the form.
Note. After submitting the form we must meet you in person. Check with your educational institution or tutor whether they have organised the registration to be done jointly with other students. Read the detailed instructions from the confirmation email that you will receive after submitting the form.
PLEASE NOTE: The civil status of a person aged over 18 is not registered only on the basis of the notification of the person in question
Remember to give your address in the correct format so that we can register it. Enter the full address, including the letter of the doorway and the apartment number. Example of an exact address with apartment information: Example street 10 B 17
Complete the date field if you want us to register your address retroactively. If you do not give the date, the date on which you send this application is registered. However, the date may not be more than 30 days before the date on which you send the application. If you give an earlier date, the date on which you send the application is registered as the first date of the address.
Note! Allowed file types: JPEG, PNG, PDF, Excel (.xlsx), Word (.docx) and Powerpoint (.pptx). Maximum size of each file: 20 MB.
Please note that the acceptance or admission letter is not enough for proving your studies. You need a study certificate or attendance letter issued by your educational institution.
